You bet we support our troops
The liberal media is trying make hay out of the Marine killing that jihadist in Fallujah, but I don’t think there are many takers. Partly it has to do with the massive media overkill over Abh Grahib, partly it has to do with the fact that our boys are taking on a bunch of fanatic and brutally cruel savages who fake surrender, liberally use suicide bombers, and stuff every square inch with explosives. For those reasons, and other, not many of us have a soft spot for the jihadists. Except for MSNBC talk show host Chris Matthews, I guess. Here’s what he told his audience of some two dozen or so viewers last night:
“Well, let me ask you about this. If this were the other side, and we were watching an enemy soldier –a rival, I mean they’re not bad guys especially, just people who just disagree with us, they are in fact the insurgents, fighting us in their country– if we saw one of them do what we saw our guy do to that guy, would we consider that worthy of a war crimes charge?”
No, Chris, they’re not bad guys, they just take and kill hostages, blow up children, systematically destroy Iraq’s infrastructure and generally do everything they can to undermine and prevent the elections scheduled for January next year. Other than that, not bad at all, I suppose.
As for our Marine, like I wrote last night, give him some more ammo. And all our love.
