About time: Tom Ridge quits

Tom Ridge is apparently going to resign. Good.

Let’s just say, kindly, that he was Robin to John Ashcroft’s Batman. He will not be missed by those of us who think secure borders and inland immigration enforcement are good ideas.

On the other hand, President George W. Bush will probably replace him with somebody even worse.
