Malaysia launches “Ops Tegas” against illegal aliens

The crackdown is on:

The crackdown against illegal immigrants around the city began early this morning with the involvement of about 300 police, Rela (People’s Voluntary Corp) and immigration personnel.

A total of 10 lorries and six buses were used by the enforcement team in the operation code named “Ops Tegas”, following the expiry of the amnesty at midnight Monday.

Immigration Department Director-General Mohd Jamal Kamdi said earlier Monday night the operation would be launched simultaneously in all states with particular emphasis in Sabah as many illegals in the state were believed to have remained behind.

Jamal said the enforcement officers would go all out to arrest illegal immigrants wherever they were, even if they hid in the jungles.

“All areas will be covered in the operation — towns, villages,
construction sites and jungles,” he said.

Go Rela, go Rela, go, go, go, go Rela!
