Data from the 2000 Census by state
I set up an English version of my little high-level state-by-state-data from the U.S. 2000 Census. You can use it to easily compare states side-by-side, or just quickly pull up some data for a particular state, all without having to slog through the Census Bureau’s interface (which is set up to handle vastly more detailed searches of a lot more data). It can also spit out CSV files if you want to run a particular data set througn Excel or some stats application.
The design is a little, uh, unrefined. The data is a bit dated, obviously, but we’re still five years away from the next census and six or seven years away from getting the data from it. One just has to deal with it.
