Unhurtful accusation

“You’re not a real baseball fan.”

That’s what my baseball loving wife told me during the last week of the regular season, when I disputed there being a play-off feeling in the air.

She is, of course, right. I am not a real baseball fan. While I do enjoy following the Red Sox - the TV is during the vast majority of Boston’s regular-season games - and while baseball is greatly underrated by most non-Americans, I just don’t like baseball nearly as much as I like football. That’s why I have a “Fotboll” category but not a “Baseboll” one. Football has more entertaining moments, more violence, and more interesting strategy. It also has cheerleaders and way fewer blowhard, super self important writers.

But the 2003-2004 craziness sure was fun, and are definitely among my favorite sports moments.
