Cupcakes and cupcakes on Newbury Street
I was wondering what the heck “Johnny Cupcakes,” a new store on Newbury Street is? Surely nobody was about to open a bakery on Newbury Street? And if they were, wouldn’t “Johnny Cupcakes” be just about the gayest name for a baked good ever known? Bostonist clears up my cognitive cupcakes fog: “Johnny Cupcakes” is not a bakery, but another peddler of overpriced fabrics.
Speaking of Newbury Street, this picture is a powerful indictment of the street’s socio-cultural imbalances (click for larger image to better discern the powerful indictment of the street’s socio-cultural imbalances). And even if it isn’t, it still has considerable merit, in my opinion.
