New England Patriots lose ball, game to Indianapolis Colts

The worst thing about last night’s game was that New England Patriots lost to Indianapolis Colts, 27-20. The second worst thing was that the Patriots weren’t more physical than the Colts. While the Patriots’ running game had a bunch of good plays, it also had a bunch of duds. On the other side of the ball, Colts were pretty good moving the ball.

New England’s quarterback threw 4 interceptions. One was an underthrown ball into double coverage, another was a deep ball into double coverage, the third a ball tipped by a defensive lineman and the fourth, game-killing interceptions bounced off the hands of runningback Kevin Faulk. Somewhere in there runningback Corey Dillon lost a fumble in New England territory.

Indianapolis’s offense had a spectacular first half but New England’s defense stepped up in the second, but was unable to force the kind of turnover that could turn the tide.

At this point in the season, Indianapolis Colts are clearly the best team in the league.
