January 1: 14 year old boy shot in Dorchester.
January 12: 13-year old boy shot at the Bromley-Heath housing project in Jamaica Plain.
January 27: BPDnews.com reports:
This afternoon around 1:08pm, officers in District 2 responded to a radio call for a found body at 57 Dewey Street. On arrival officers located a black male in his early 20’s suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced at the scene. Homicide investigators are currently on scene and investigating this incident.
February 8: 25 year old male shot in Jamaica Plain.
February 8: 19-year old black male shot in Roxbury.
February 13: Three men shot in Roxbury, one fatally. Two suspects arrested.
February 18: Black male fatally shot in Hyde Park.
Februry 21: Black Male shot on Columbia Road
February 27: Black male fatally shot in Dorchester. Cops are looking for a suspect.
March 9: 18 year old woman shot in Dorchester.
March 11: 24 year old man stabbed to death in South End. There’s a suspect. Caught.
March 14: 18-yer old man shot in Roxbury.
March 24: 22-year old woman shot. Died at Boston Medical Center. Update: Turns out the victim victim was an out-of-towner who thought it reasonable to go party in the ‘hood early in the morning. A fight broke out at the party and then people started getting shot.
March 28: 24-year old male shot.
March 30: 18-year old male shot on a bus in Dorchester. He was pronounced dead on Saturday night, March 31, and has been identified. In a separate incident, another man was shot dead in Dorchester on Friday evening. That man was a decorated Iraq war veteran.
April 8: “19 year-old Hispanic male” shot early Sunday morning.
April 23: 22-year old man shot in the head in East Boston. He died on April 28.
April 25: 29-year old man stabbed to death on Blue Hill Avenue.
May 5: Man found stabbed to death. The suspect is an employee at the Boston Police Department. The defense is arguing self-defense. It was a domestic dispute, at least in part fueled by alcohol.
May 15: Two people fatally shot. One was shot in Roxbury, the other on “Ames Street in the Franklin Field public housing development in Dorchester,” according to The Boston Globe.
May 22: 16-year old kid stbbed to death in Dorchester. According to neighbors quoted in a Boston Globe article it was revenge for a non-fatal “stabbing of a 13-year old erlier this year.” The Boston Herald writes the murder took place in Mattapn.
June 3: 39-year old black male shot in Dorchester.
June 3: 17-year old shot in Mattapan.
June 5: 41-year old man beaten in Mattapan. He dies from his injuries on June 13.
June 10: 23-year old man shot in South End.
June 17: 24-year old black man shot in Hyde Park.
June 17: Two stabbings claim one life in South Boston, where a 26-year old white male dies. A 38-year old white male suspect was arrested on June 19. The case has generated a lot of debate at Universal Hub.
June 21: 39-year old black man shot in Dorchester. Cops nabbed suspect on June 22.
June 24: 8-year old boy shot in Roxbury.
July 1: Hispanic male shot outside public housing project in Roslindale.
July 4: Man shot multiple times in Roxbury. He died from his wounds on July 10.
July 11: Man shot in Roxbury.
July 12: Two black men killed in a hail of gunfire at the Franklin Hill projects in Dorchester.
July 21: Man shot in Roxbury.
July 29: Two children found dead in their home in Roslindale. Their mother is later charged with the crime.
August 2: Two men shot in Roxbury, third wounded.
