February was another month of solid service on the Lowell line
The Lowell line saw another month of solid, on-time service in February. That was particularly welcome since we had a few cold days when it would have been quite unpleasant to have waited even just a few extra minutes on the platform.
Ticket readers throughout the Green Line system remained spotty, but their failure rate seemed to be lower last month than in January.
Since I will most likely have forgotten about it a month from now, I should mention that the Green Line raced from Kenmore Square to North Station in just under 15 minutes this morning. I should also mention that the driver shut the doors when I was just five feet away from them, but insted of taking off, which would have been entirely reasonable considering the poor sightlines on the Kenmore Square platforms, the driver re-opened the doors to let me in.
Why am I at all mentioning these mundane details? Because the T gets hammered all the time for things it does wrong, so I figured I should take the time to mention what it does right.
Two pigeons have moved to North Station. Here’s one of them:
There’s nothing wrong with the picture, but there might be something wrong with your eyes.
