9/6 update: Not quite, actually. Among other things, items are date stamped in a weird way. For example, there's a piece up tonight that's dated 9/7. The same item will often have different date stamps on different pages.]
I mentioned a couple of days ago when commenting on BostonHerald.com’s new design that Sunday morning during Labor Day weekend is a good time to launch a website redesign. Tuesday morning after Labor Day weekend is a terrible time to do it and has blown deadlines written all over it. When your design is optimized for for Internet Explorer and completely ignores other browsers you have a train wreck. But here we are on Tuesday morning after Labor Day weekend and New England Patriots have launched a redesign that completely ignores non-IE browsers. It’s a debacle.
