Jeffrey Gitomer makes an example of his book Sales Bible
On our way home from eBay Live! 2008 in Chicago we walked by an airport book store that displayed Jeffrey Gitomer’s book Sales Bible. The copies had stickers announcing that the book had the author’s autograph (see picture below). My wife concluded that Gitomer had autographed the books on his way to or from eBay Live! where he was a speaker at a well-attended seminar (especially when one considers how poorly attended Live! itself was). That’s a pretty crafty way to add value to one’s book. Perhaps he dropped off the books himself at the book store. Either way, you have to respect a practitioner who is always on, so to speak.
Gitomer reportedly prints his books in China and then sells them wholesale to his publisher (which makes me wonder what his publisher does for a living).
