New England Patriots 2008 regular season schedule contains two road trips with back to-back games on the West Coast, a bye week in September, five nationally televised night games (three Sunday night, one Monday night and one Thursday night), and dates with the Patriots arch rivals this decade: The Indianapolis Colts and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
This year’s opponents outside of the the AFC East come from AFC West and NFC West, which explains why so many fames out West. The Patriots caught a few scheduling breaks: Its road game against division opponent Miami Dolphins is in late November, saving the Patriots from playing the Dolphins in sweltering humidity. Also, the Patriots get to play the Steelers and the Denver Broncos at home. The November 13 Thursday Night home game against the Jets gives the Patriots a ten-day mini bye week in mid-November.
The season-ending game against the Buffalo Bills on December 28 could be a wild affair with both teams in the hunt for playoff spots in unpredictable New England weather.
