Together we can hope for sacrifice
Whenever I hear politicians or pundits talk about the American people making sacrifices I think of store parking lots and the enormous sacrifice shoppers routinely choose not to make. I’m talking about returning one’s shopping cart to a shopping cart corral. Sometimes it’s an arduous six feet journey, sometimes it’s a 100 feet death march – not counting the return trip to the car. Rather than putting themselves through such hardship shoppers choose to abandon their carts wherever they can, even if it means blocking two parking spots with one cart. Surely sacrifice is what these people are clamoring for.
