Boston has challenged the 2007 population estimate
I know the question has been nagging you: Did Boston get around to challenge the United States Census Bureau’s 2007 population estimate for the city, the way it did for the 2005 and 2006 estimates? The answer is yes. I’m guessing the City requested a boost from 599,351 to at least 613,000 but perhaps as much as 617,000+ (the requested number is probably no secret on Boston’s end, but the Census Bureau won’t disclose it until the challenge process has been completed).
